Review: Carol’s Daughter Black Vanilla Conditioner

I purchased this after using some when my mom purchased this in a set at Macy’s last year. Carol’s Daughter is a natural company that makes hair and body products that are supposedly all natural. You can purchase it from Carol’s Daughter online here or at Sephora and Macy’s.

According to the company, this product promises:

A rich, moisturizing recipe for dry, brittle and unmanageable hair to detangle and make it easier to style. The blend of Pro-vitamin B5 and Rose Extract help to strengthen and soften hair when it’s wet so there are fewer snags, snaps and tugs. Light enough to use daily and perfect as a co-wash.

  • Shea Butter deeply moisturizes your hair for a healthy shine
  • Rose Extract helps soften your hair so it’s much more manageable
  • Pro-vitamin B5 will give your hair more strength and better conditioning
  • Contains warm and sensual Black Vanilla for a soothing fragrance experience

I use this conditioner to deep conditioner, co-wash ( this is washing the hair with conditioner in place of shampoo which can strip the hair) and my regular conditioning treatments. This left my hair soft and manageable and has a nice smell that leaves your hair smelling subtly sweet.

The consistency of the conditioner is comparable to Organic Root stimulator’s Replenishing Conditioner; not quite as thick as a hair mask but not runny like it’s water based.

I loved how this left my hair feeling, I only wish they made a larger bottle the 8 oz. isn’t enough for me! I rate this 5/5.

Have you tried this conditioner? Did it work for your hair?
